Combo Mode

When I use combo mode, the mapping area is black.  I try to adjust the properties but to no avail.  Other views are fine.

This is an odd one.  It is possible that the brightness setting got set to zero somehow... that would result in black combo maps.  But you said you tried adjusting the settings... Hmm.

Did the combo maps ever work for you?  Try using the drop down box to select "Default Topo/Aerial Blend" to reset all of the sliders.  

I'll give some more thought to what could be going wrong.  Can you send your TopoFusion.log file to support@topofusion.com ?

No the combo map has never worked.  I did quite a bit of troubleshooting including reseting all of the controls and the pulldown.  I'll send the logfile.

BTW: This is the greatest program ever.  I live in Colorado Springs and it's great for orienting where I've been and want to go on trail and off trail runs.

We've found and fixed the problem with 16 and 24 bit displays.  The current beta (for registered users) includes this fix.  The next full release and demo will also.

I just became a reg user and downloaded 2 days ago and I still get the black screen when I go to combo and with everyother level of map detail

Did you download the regular version or the beta version?  The current release (1.52) still has the bug.  If you have the beta and are still getting the problem, please let us know.

The current beta (for registered users at http://www.topofusion.com/beta.php) should be fixed for that problem.  We're going to release another beta soon and will most likely make it available in demo form.  Another full release will likely follow shortly thereafter.
