Title: PhotoFusion and color urban aerials
Post by: GPSmapper on September 17, 2005, 11:41:37 AM
Hi guys,

I really love the PhotoFusion feature that allows for easy posting to a website. Is there any way to integrate color aerial photos into it, and if not, is this on the drawing board for a future update?

Hey Rich,

It's on the drawing board and it's also fairly easy.  There was a topic about this a while back.

After the program exports topo.jpg and aerial.jpg just keep the same view and export your own aerial.jpg in color rather than B/W mode.  All the camera icons and such will line up since that's all the program does -- it calls the export function in topo and aerial mode.

Thanks.

Thanks! That was easy. You can check out the results here.

By the way, I've got a couple of blog posts up extolling the virtues of TopoFusion,  here and here.

Hey, TopoFusion is a wonderful program. Keep up the good work!

Hey Rich.

Cool, thanks for the kind words.

I have fond memories of a ride I did a few summers ago on Mt. Diablo.  Nice shot of the bear cub, too.  I guess Mom wasn't anywhere to be seen?

I hope to be improving PhotoFusion in a few key ways this fall.
