On the road question
« on: February 06, 2007, 04:38:25 AM »
I am in a SAR group and wonder if this software can be used while remotely on a search? I like to use use aerial photos and if i can what would be required to do so.

Thanks

Yes, TopoFusion works well offline.  As long as you download all the necessary aerial photos beforehand, it will work fine.

You can either pan around to get the maps you need to make them download, or use the 'reload / load' maps tool to draw a box around your area(s) of interest.

Once a map tile is downloaded, it will always be accessible.  This is different than google earth and world wind, which have limited tile caches.

Your answer is what i was hoping for. The beta version i have used has been really nice to integrate my tracks from my Garmin 60cxs. I am sold on purchasing the full version because i hope the money will be used to allow this company to go further.

Thanks again for your response.

It will certainly help us continue improving and expanding the program.

Thanks!
