missing DEM files
« on: April 24, 2005, 09:22:51 AM »
In Climbing Analysis, I get the following message:  WARNING: Track covers missing DEM files!  This message precludes me being able to download DEM data to the track.  A 3-D view of the same track looks OK.

What can I do about this message?  I tried increasing the DEM cache limit in Preferences and restarted TopoFusion.  This did not seem to make any difference.

I usually get this message when I try to do the climbing analysis on a track which is not checked for display. Is the track displayed?

Yes.  Track is checked and displayed.  Alan at TopoFusion suggested "change the Elevation Source from "DEM Files" to "Download (World)".  Then try again."  That didn't make any difference.  The problem may be isolated to specific tracks which display fine and look like good data.
