Title: merge gpx and tcx
Post by: harley-rider on April 29, 2008, 04:06:17 AM
Hi
I'm looking for a tool that allows me to merge two files.
One is a activity log from GARMIN Forerunner 50 (tcx-file) with time and heardrate.
The other is a tracklog (gpx-file) that has logged the training to the same time.
Is it possible to merge this two files into one (tcx or gpx) to load it into Garmin Trainingscenter with this topofusion tool ?

Thanks
Beat

Hmm.  Interesting question.

Are the two files at the same time inteveral (e.g. once per second) ?

TopoFusion does something similiar -- merging power files with .gpx or .tcx.  But this would take a bit of extra code.

Where is the .gpx coming from?  A regular GPS?

No they aren't.
The Forerunners intervall is evry 5 sec store Time and Heardbeat (Rate)
The Track may be different. I have on that store the tme, position, elevation and others every 30 sec. or all 30 meters.

My track is from a track-logger wintec WBT-201 with the intervall written above. But the track may also be form regular GPS like Garmin colorado or others.
