new to program and mapping

I can't figure out how to download data for a map - for example area around Alamogordo New Mexico.

Is there a faq or q and a that will help a newbie?

Use the Goto menu, type in
32.89955 n
105.96025 w
Use the topo or aerial maps. You must be connected to the internet for the maps to download.
