Storing Map Data
« on: March 12, 2005, 09:57:42 AM »
I would like to use totpfusion while out running around with a GPS attached and have the map data of the area I am traveling in.

Is it possible to store the map data.  I would like it to be what I choose, not what the program thinks I need or thinks it has room for on the drive.

J.

TopoFusion stores all downloaded maps indefinitely.  Try using the load maps tool (next to the scissors) to download an entire area.

I also suggested/requested specs on the .dat files so that a management program could be made to create custom .dat files for those with limited memory.

Might not hurt adding a defragment feature to the current system as well. If I'm correct and map data, no matter what area, is stored in the order it is retrieved that could make for a very scattered database.
