Logbook Problems
« on: January 21, 2007, 05:09:15 PM »
One of my favorite features of TopoFusion is the Logbook.  However, when I calculate my total for a set amount of time, the numbers are all off.

When I use the program to total three weeks of hiking (9 miles, 14 miles, and 5 miles), I get a summary of 100 miles!  What gives?

Logbook Problems

There must be an errant track in there that has the incorrect distance.  This happens to me quite often.

The problem is that the .GPX file gets stored in the logbook when you download it.  So if there are stray points, or an erroneous connection to the location of your previous hike, the distance/stats get stored before you have a chance to edit it.  In this case you should remove the file from the logbook, and then add it back in.

Also make sure there aren't multiple tracks hiding on a certain day.  Sometimes I get two copies of the same track on a day (because I downloaded them twice or whatever).  One needs to be removed.

Hope that helps.  If not, let me know.
