Title: Install problem

Hi, I'm trying to install the 2.6 demo and I get an error message that the file topofusion.msi does not have a program associated with it, followed by a message that the Windows Installer loaded ok but failed to run the installer package C:WINDOWS\TEMP\INSTMSIA.EXE.

Advice?

I should have added that I'm running Win98 SE.

I've never heard of this problem before.  My first guess is that you either don't have or something is wrong with Windows Installer.  You may try upgrading it here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloa....lang=en

Just to check, you're running the executable, not double clicking on the .MSI file, right?

Please post if you find a solution.

Thanks, that fixed it!

Yes I was running the executable, and I guess as you suggested there was some corruption of my installer.
