No way to do it inside TopoFusion. The shapefile format is very poorly designed, so the motivation to dig through the details is not very high, even though the developers would find it useful.
ExpertGPS can convert from GPX -> shapefile, though Dan Foster charges more for that capability (on top of the regular ExpertGPS registration).
