Fatal Exception Reseting D3D Device Failed?
« on: June 11, 2007, 07:15:04 PM »
I keep getting this (Fatal Exception: Reseting D3D Device Failed) and the map does not appear.  Any ideas?  There are also segments of the map that while say they are loading, do not.  Thanks for any help!

As of a few hours ago, the OnEarth server is down.  That might be causing some troubles, but not a D3D device reset error.

Is this your first install of TopoFusion, or have you been using it for a while?

You might try deleting your TopoFusion.ini file.  That will reset your settings to default.

Otherwise, it sounds like a video driver problem.  Try updating your video card's drivers, or post your TopoFusion.log file here -- it should give us some clues as to what's going on.

Thanks.

I've as well been having the 3d view lock up on me lately ,and I'm not sure what if anything changed .. but the program just freezes with the blue bar half way every time lately ..

have to kill the process to get back .. esc won't cancel ..

not sure its anything to do w/topofusion -I might have just f'd something up ..

when i go to kill it its using 570mb memory.. tile cache set to 50% -312mb

freshly started with the approx same view it uses 93mb
