I was able to download maps but I can't view them. I get the message "the request is invalid scene ID is incorrect". Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

Where in the world are you trying to view? That is a message from Terraserver indicating that it does not have a map for that area of the world (usually outside the US). Try switching to landsat (satellite) maps by hitting the "L" key or using the upper right corner dropdown to select Landsat.

I'm trying to view areas in PA & MD. It did download something because my Topo file went from 5 MBs to over 100 MBs.

I too get "the request is invalid scene ID is incorrect" from my 301 upload. I do not find the solution posted, if I missed it on-line, let me know where to find it!

This only happens with my 301. The 201 works fine. What I notice is that when I do the GPS transfer from the 301, the data is GREATLY exagerated. As an example, a run I did this a.m. was 9.49 miles, however TP reflects 1782615.32 miles! Climbing elevation and other data is huge as well. I tried the upper right hand topo, aerial, landsat, etc., to no avail.

I am at v2.5

Ok, got it. Yeah, the file is seriously screwed up. It contains a bunch of points as follows:

   <trkpt lat="180.000000" lon="180.000000">
   <ele>9999999562023526200000000.000000</ele>
   <time>2005-04-24T15:02:10Z</time>
   </trkpt>

Have you tried the beta? I'm not sure if we have a 301 on hand to test with. Unfortunately, the guy with all the gps's is riding the Arizona Trial at the moment, he won't be done for a couple of weeks. He's also the one who wrote the gps communication code, so it will probably have to wait a bit. Sorry.

Guess I'll have to wait and see how it goes when he gets back. For what its worth, I have attempted several uploads from the 301, differnt runs/rides, different days, same results.

As for the v2.51 beta, I'm in a bit of a catch-22; I like your Topofusion product, I think its probably worth the 40 bucks, but with the 301 I have your product dosn't work. Do I have to be registered - buy a license - to get the beta 2.51?

I'm seeing this same error, without loading a GPX file.
I'm trying to view the Seattle area. I do a goto lat/long and enter 47 and 121 respectively.
(and variations, such as 47.0000)

(In older version, I seem to recall that I could do this with no problem.)

Oops. I'm a doofus.
I was able to get this to work by adding an appropriate N or W.
(i.e. 47 N, 122 W)

Maybe some simple syntax checking routine is in order.

The problem is that you entered a positive longitude, which is in the other hemisphere.

The "W" fixed it for you.

We're going to make this more obvious in the next version, but it's not a problem of syntax checking!!

Just installed v2.60, and everything works great from the Garmin 301.
