When I select Export View and save as a jpg or a bmp I get a saved black image.  It must be a setting on my desk top because it works on my lap top computer.  Any ideas?

It's probably because your desktop is in 16 or 24-bit color mode.  Version 1.52 (the latest demo/release) currently has a bug that gives some problems in non-32-bit modes.  The next release (and the current beta) include this fix.

Thanks, I'll recheck my display settings.  Do the display settings affect the way a file is saved?  I haven't had any trouble with the display.

Another question; Is the beta a replacement for the current version?  i.e. can I use the beta just like the current version except it has the added 3D functionality?

Thanks

Yes, the display could effect the exporting functions.

The beta is a replacement, it has everything that previous versions have, plus more.  The only thing is that there may be a bug or two lurking out there.  But most of the old functions haven't been changed, so it should work fine.

I checked my display settings and they were set at 32 bit.  I then loaded the beta and now I can export view to an image file.
