301 download?
« on: August 20, 2007, 10:24:11 AM »
Trying to figure out if I can fudge on the GOVSS with a 301.  I have a client that is looking to start quantifying his running but only has the 301.  IIRC it registers at 5 second intervals?  I know this would not be ideal but was wondering if I could still get a GOVSS number off of this.  Thanks very much!

Sorry about the delay in response, I've been cycling through Colorado for the past five days.

GOVSS is computed at one second intervals, as you're likely aware, but TF doesn't care what the resolution of your data is -- it interpolates everything to one second intervals.

So, it won't be quite as accurate, but you will get a very good GOVSS number, even with 301 data.

Especially when you're riding along the Divide and the CT, seeing blue skies and camping completely dry.  Simply incredible weather, and an amazing trip.
