Title: Suggestion for Photofusion
Post by: dumketu on March 24, 2006, 01:00:52 AM
One small suggestion for photofusion would be a way to de-link the photo directory from the track. Right now the only way to do that is to point to a directory with no pictures in it. Photofusion searches for the photos evey time it loads and if the directory has a lot, it can delay the program. Perhaps add a way to clear the photo directory or add a check box to temporarily de-select it.

Good idea.  I usually save a copy of the GPX file to the same directory as the pictures, then set the directory only on that GPX file.  So if I don't care about pictures the regular copy of the data sits with the rest of my files.  But if I want to view pics, I load the file from the pictures directory.

But it would be easy to make a clear directory button.

On a similar note, it would be great to be able to generate the html file with the header, stats, and track maps, without any photos at all. I don't always take photos, but still would like to display the hike data and track. As is, you get an error message if no photos match the times in the GPS track, and it won't make the html file.
I've resorted to editing the EXIF times in a jpg file just to generate the html track map.

Love the program overall.
