First let me say that v2.50 is great.  This is a great piece of software, one that I don't think I could do without now.  Is there a timeframe for directly supporting the Forerunner 301?  Specifically I am interested in being able to download tracks directly from the unit.  Heartrate data is not that critical to me in an app like TopoFusion.

Hopefully soon, within the next month or so.  Unfortunately we don't have a unit to test, but I we're going to work with Brad Culberson on getting the fix into TopoFusion.

Thanks for the interest.  We do fully intend to support the 301.

I use Topofusion with Forerunner 201 and it worked very well. Linking with the Forerunner 301 requires editing out the abberant data points which fortunately are obvious in the track points list.  I presume these represent HR data.  The resulting track appears to be accurate.

Have had variable luck uploading waypoints to the device - problem seems to occur when I have other programs open which have also connected to the device.

Looking forward to full support of the 301.  Would be happy to beta test if that would help.

Is there an update on Forerunner 301 compatability?
I have a 201 and a 301 and would be willing to help with any testing you need.  Let me know if I can be of any help.

I think I have a fix for it.

There's a new beta version - v2.51 that includes it.  I haven't heard back from any 301 users yet (just released today), so I'm not sure if it works or not.

Updated to version 2.51 today.  Downloaded 2 tracks from the Forerunner 301 and they loaded well.  Edited one track and ended up crashing the program.  Restarted it and all was well. More to follow.

Great, thanks for testing it.  I've heard back from others that it works as well.

Please try to replicate the problem you found it editing the track.  My guess is that it's an unrelated bug -- but I would still like to know what it is in any case.

I just downloaded the 2.51 beta and retrieved some tracks from my 301, everything worked well.  I will post if I have any problems.
