Is there any way to export the map as displayed at a higher resolution than just screen?  Screen resolution does not yield very good prints.

No, but there will be in the future.  When we finish the long-needed print function it will be able to export or print areas larger than the screen.

Is there any update on print functions?

Is it possible to display downloaded waypoints without the topo behind to make it easier to read waypoint labels?

We are still working on print support.  It usually takes a back seat to more exciting feature additions.  But we have started on it and do intend to finish it--some day.

To turn off the underlying maps, use the toggle on the toolbar.  The third toggle from the left (looks like a checkerboard) turns on/off the background map.
